International Law: What Is It?
The norms that control interstate interactions and are recognized by the international community are referred to as international law. Today, however, international law covers a wide range of actors, including individuals, multinational enterprises, and international organizations, in addition to connections between governments. Public international law and private international law are the two primary categories into which international law is typically separated. Private international law resolves conflicts between various national legal systems, whereas public international law governs ties between governments and international organizations.
